A ninety-minute operatic performance/installation with a six-piece choir, two solo vocalists, three musicians, six dancers, a prerecorded audio tape, and slide and video projections. The audience and performers were engulfed by a large wooden figure, 9 x 12 m’s by 3 m’s thick. The intent was to open up anger, examine it and let it be manifest. The performers were the anger personified and named. Characters moved out of the wooden figure, to interact with the audience and each other. Their actions were cued by the prerecorded audio tape that played continuously.
This work was the result of a collaboration with an amazing team of performers and friends. The opera would not have been possible without their dedication and commitment. Love and respect to all.
